James F. McGovern Jr. lives, and was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. His op-eds, essays, stories and poetry have appeared in the Philadelphia Inquirer, the Irish Edition, the Northeast Corridor, the Port Richmond Spirit and various poetry journals. 

He currently works as a drug alcohol counselor and has been teaching the 12 steps for over 6 years now. His other published book is called You Can Go Home Again and can be accessed or ordered at www.youcangohomeagain.net.
